This year has been filled with 40th Anniversary celebrations of Star Wars. From the big party that was Star Wars Celebration to From a Certain Point of View, a compilation of stories retelling A New Hope that will be released next month, this has been the year of Star Wars. Today Profiles in History, the world’s largest auctioneer & dealer of original Hollywood Memorabilia, announced the sale of something several Star Wars collectors would like to get their hands on.

ARE GOING UP FOR AUCTION

Profiles in History is proud to announce Carrie Fisher’s Star Wars scripts are going up for auction during their three day Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds Personal Property Auction on October 7th, 8th and 9th in Los Angeles.

Up first is her personal hand-annotated shooting script from Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back. The studio bound and bradded script is 158 pages. Virtually every page is stamped with red security code “501”. Of particular note, every page with “Leia” dialogue is annotated by Fisher in pencil with subtext, the underlying message being conveyed. The script contains over 1,000 words in Fisher’s hand. It’s pictured left and is estimated to sell for $30,000 – $50,000.

Next is her bound presentation script for Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope signed by George Lucas. The title page reads, “The Adventures of Luke Starkiller as taken from the ‘Journal of the Whills’ by George Lucas (Saga I) Star Wars.” In black ink, Star Wars creator & director George Lucas has inscribed, “To Carrie with much love George.” Bound within the 156-page script are five vintage promotional stills of Carrie as “Princess Leia” from various scenes in the film. It’s pictured right and is estimated to sell for $20,000 – $30,000.

Then her bound presentation script for Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back signed by George Lucas. The title page reads, “Star Wars Episode Five The Empire Strikes Back By Leigh Brackett and Larry Kasdan From the Novel By George Lucas”. Star Wars creator George Lucas has inscribed in black ink, “To Carrie May the force be with you. George”. Bound within the 157-page script are eight vintage promotional stills of Carrie as “Princess Leia” from various scenes in the film. It’s pictured below and is estimated to sell for $20,000 – $30,000.

Finally, her bound presentation script for Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi signed by George Lucas. The title page reads, “Star Wars Episode Six Revenge of the Jedi Screenplay By Lawrence Kasdan and George Lucas Story By George Lucas.” Star Wars creator George Lucas has inscribed in black marker ink, “For Carrie Easy to say lines George”. Bound within the 107-page script are 13 vintage promotional stills of Carrie as “Princess Leia” from various scenes in the film. It’s pictured at bottom and is estimated to sell for $20,000 – $30,000.
